After years in the city—first in New Albany and Louisville as singles, then in New Albany as a married couple—we wanted more space to garden and breathe. In the fall of 2020, after a long search, we found it: a simple seven-acre plot in Irvington, Kentucky that would become Schnauzer Ranch. This land is our home, our homestead, and the heart of all our miniature schnauzer endeavors. It’s still a work in progress—finishing the house, planting trees, setting fence lines—but we’re building it with our own hands, one step at a time.
