Do you have any Miniature Schnauzer puppies available?
This is probably the most asked question we get here or over on our social media pages. And the answer is maybe. While that’s not the definitive answer you may have been hoping for it is the best we can do at any given time. All of our girls are also our pets and we like to give them a rest from being a full time mom in between litters. We allow them to recover fully between births and we assess them for health and readiness when we decide to breed them again. The best way to be alerted for puppy availability is to subscribe to this site, check our Available Beards page and/or follow us on our social media pages.
What is the cost to own a mini from Irvington Schnauzers?
This is probably the second most asked question we get asked. And like the availability issue; it depends. It depends on the costs we expect to incur during the pregnancy, birthing and raising the puppies for eight weeks. These cost vary from litter to litter but rest assured our prices will always be fair and competitive to other breeders around the country.
Are your dogs health checked and DNA analyzed?
Yes. All of our puppies are seen by a vet within a couple days of birth. They are seen again at six weeks for first shots, deworming medicine and a thorough check up. As far as our breeding dogs, they all get regular vet checks and are DNA analyzed to be sure you are getting a 100% pure miniature schnauzer.
Is there a waiting list I can join to purchase a dog from an upcoming litter?
Yes. Simply click on the link at the bottom of this page and send us an email. Include your name, the preferred sex of the puppy you want and the preferred coat color. If our girl has a puppy that matches your criteria we will notify you by email. At that time if you want to move ahead with the purchase of that puppy a deposit would be required.
Are your puppies altered (tails docked, ears cropped ect.)?
Yes. All of our pups have their dew claws removed and their tails docked. We DO NOT crop ears. However, upon request, if you place a deposit on a puppy we can leave the tail intact on your dog.
Are Irvington Schnauzers pups registered with the AKC?
Yes. All of our dogs are AKC registered. All of our litters of puppies are registered as well. You will receive with your pup a form to register your puppy if you wish to do so. Doing so helps build a database to track the lineage of the miniature schnauzer breed. It not only tracks our line but any other lines that may intersect with ours.
What is the process to purchase an Irvington Schnauzer?
First check here for an available litter. Then contact us with your interest in a puppy. After that if you are somewhat local to us we could (at your request) meet for you to see the puppies and pick one out in person. At that point (or if you are several hours away and can’t meet in person) we would collect a $200 deposit. After the deosit we update you with pictures of your puppy on a weekly basis for you to follow along with their journey to your home. Finally when the mini reaches eight weeks of age we will collect the remaining balance for the puppy and you can take your cute new fuzzy miniature schnauzer home fur-ever.
